Hints and Tips

While we will ensure that your message is delivered directly to customers, you will need to make sure that the message is as strong as possible in order that your customers read it and respond.

There are lots of things that will help with this, including linking the leaflet distribution with other forms of marketing, eg online, social media, advertising etc.

Below are a few suggestions to help maximise the chances of your message hitting the mark with your leaflets.

Relevance

Decide what you are looking to achieve (new customers, repeat custom from existing clients, introducing your name or brand to a new area).

Trade on testimonials

Who doesn’t like to know that “customers like you use our service…”. If you can get testimonials from happy clients include them on your leaflets.

Dare to be Different

Stand out from the crowd and maximize the results of your campaign by emphasising what’s different about your business and demonstrating this in your leaflet.

An eye catching headline

Make the reader stop and read your leaflet by hitting them straight away with an eye catching headline. Make it different, creative, funny or even a little strange and quirky, just anything that will make you stand out from the crowd.

Reflect your business

If you are a fun, vibrant business, make sure leaflet reflects this, with lots of colour and images, just not too much that you cloud the message. If you are a more conservative and refined business think about more subtle colours and fonts.

A call-to-action or offer

People need a reason to read your leaflet and to want to get in touch with you. One of the best ways to this is to give them something, whether that is a discount, a free offer or a competition to win something.

You need to make sure you make an impact from the start, grab the reader’s attention, once you have this they are more likely to read the information on the rest of the flyer.
